Okay, so I'm going to write a little review about the gig in Croydon, March 12 2011. The concert started with the typical " 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1 " tune :-) Then came "I'll Get You" and I was glad that they played a not so famous song. Followed by "Roll Over Beethoven" . Then (as usual) they told us to clap our hands and stamp our feet to "Can't Buy Me Love". Then I can't really remember the order of the songs, (they made a few jokes, as always) but there were "Yesterday" (flawless), "Taxman", "Help!", "Paperback Writer" and "In My Life". Then came the costume change, Sgt. Pepper & Magical Mystery Tour songs. They played "She's Leaving Home", "Penny Lane", "Strawberry Fields Forever", "I Am The Walrus", "Magical Mystery Tour", "The Fool on the Hill", "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", followed by "With a Little Help from My Friends", perfectly sung by Hugo (aka Ringo) ;-) And of course Neil's favorite song "A Day in the Life" , which was sublime. And when they did "All You Need is Love", I held up the sign I made -> I'm from Belgium!. André (George) saw it and really liked it. Then David saw it too, and he knew that it was me (his ex-wife told me that I was going to come and David already knew me) and was smiling really hard Then again costume change to Abbey Road. The crowd was really warmed up then and before "Lady Madonna", André read a name from a piece of paper (someone's Birthday) and David added: "I also want to dedicate this song to Delfien, because she's from Belgium!!" The whole crowd was cheering and I felt so great Then followed "Here Comes the Sun", "Come Together", "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" (best version so far by André), "Get Back", and of course "Hey Jude". Then they were gone, my dad started shouting 'We want more' and soon the others joined in. They came back and played "Back in the USSR". It was fantastic! I can't descibe it in 1 word. This was only my 3rd concert and I hope that many more will follow (I'm sorry if I forgot some songs, it's already 10days ago )

Thx for the review! Good to see you enjoyed yourself so much. And your dad enjoyed himself as well ;-). Yes he did! In the beginning, he wasn't really a Beatlesfan, but when we first saw The Bootleg Beatles, he started to like all those Beatlessongs ! He thinks that David is really kind, André is friendly, Neil is weird (in a good way) and Hugo is funny ;D I'm glad that he liked them so much, that never happened before, that my parents like my idols.

You should be glad that they like the same bands as you do.
If everything goes right (and it SHOULD go right) I go to a concert of Ringo Starr (the real one) this summer.

I'm very very glad And wow, that's so cool ! Even though I think that Ringo isn't that kind anymore, he refuses to give autographs to his fans I wonder why.. Anyway, I hope you can go, I wish I can see him live too one day.

He doesn't want to give autographs anymore because he's already given so many in his life. Here's the list of his tour - shows in the UK, France, Germany, Holland and other countries: www.ringostarr.com/home.php

Ringo's show in Holland is at a festival; other artists that perform there the same day are Roxette & Anouk. Perhaps that might convince him to join you to one of Ringo's shows.

Too bad.. I asked him and he said no He's not really interested in that festival I hope that I can go to the Bootleg Beatles, October 15. I really want to go alone (I'm turning 17 tomorrow), but my parent's won't allow me to go alone to Folkestone. And it's not even that far!

Well, I can understand that they are concerned about you; 17 is still so young.

Well, I can understand that they are concerned about you; 17 is still so young. Yes.. But a Belgian woman (that I know, because I mail with her) is going to Folkestone too and she wants to take me with her, but my mom said no to that too... My grandma and my uncle say that it's a good idea to go with her (because my parents don't wanna go).. My mom says she is a stranger. But come on, she's 58 and a huuuuuge Bootleg Beatles fan and I don't understand why my mom can't trust her.

They just want you to be safe. Perhaps they might changer their minds if they'd met that Belgian woman.

I know that they really care about me and if they say I can't go, then I'm going to accept that. BTW: New dates for 2012 are added ! www.bootlegbeatles.com/dates.htmBelgium is not on the list yet (André said they were coming in february, so I hope they will add Belgian venues soon). But Holland isn't far for us and maybe we can go to Delft, because it's on a Saturday and we only can go on Saturdays. But I'll wait for Belgian dates.
